Matthew holds an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance, specializing in Jazz and American Improvised styles. His studies emphasized improvisation and creativity, with a particular passion for performing in Fusion Combos and spontaneously reimagining existing songs. Outside of music he loves basketball, martial arts, and his first language is Spanish as he is from Colombia. In his teaching, Matthew helps students build a strong foundation, enabling them to play a wide range of music and express their unique musical voice through personal interpretation and performance.
