He studied under renowned drummer Johnny Vidacovich in New Orleans and takes pride in having absorbed elements of the city’s distinctive funk-jazz sound.In addition to teaching, Shane enjoys spending time with his family, playing games, and designing software. He is passionate about helping students discover the joy of learning music—especially when exploring new genres and playing in groups.
