Luke B.

Lucas Barath is a highly qualified and enthusiastic music educator with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Butler University. During his time there, he earned statewide and regional recognition in musical theatre, led an acclaimed lower-voice a cappella group, and performed leading roles in operas including The Magic Flute, Albert Herring, and Gianni Schicchi. His professional experience spans opera, musical theatre, a cappella, and barbershop, giving him a versatile and comprehensive understanding of vocal music. Lucas has been teaching voice lessons to students of all ages since 2022 and has extensive experience in K–12 education, allowing him to work patiently and effectively with young singers. He creates a fun, encouraging, and relaxed learning environment where students feel supported as they build confidence and strong vocal technique. Outside of music, Lucas enjoys playing soccer, going on walks, watching reality TV—especially Survivor and The Traitors—and spending time with his cuddly cat, Percy. He loves teaching because he values lifelong learning and finds joy in seeing students light up when they master new concepts, believing that working with learners of all ages is one of the most rewarding ways to grow as both a teacher and a musician.
